Re: Remove swap
If removing or reducing primary you may have to do it by booting into lvm maintenance mode.
I do not think modifying with lvrmboot -s xyz /dev/vg00 will suffice. Never tried though.

Re: Remove swap
If you post the output of:
# swapinfo -tam
we can verify.

Re: Remove swap
To remove secondary swap space you delete the entry (entries) in '/etc/fstab' and reboot. Secondary swap can only be de-activated with a reboot. Following the boot, you can 'lvremove' the logical volume(s) representing the defunct swap device(s).

Re: Remove swap
Perhaps the entry was never made in '/etc/fstab', but the swap device created and activiated on-the-fly. I presume that you are seeing additional (secondary) swap in the output of 'swapinfo -tam'. If so, reboot as I indicated above.
Regards!

Re: Remove swap
/dev/vg00/lvol11
right?
If it is not in fstab, a reboot should be enough to remove it. Perhaps it was created and activated since the last reboot.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Remove swap
Your 'lvol11' is secondary swap. The 'lvol2' is the primary swap device which is required and cannot be removed.
Remember that you do *not* specifiy primary swap in '/etc/fstab'. It is activated during startup independently. Should you specify a primary swap device in '/etc/fstab' you will see an error reported during startup to the effect that primary swap is already active.
Regards!
