removing Service guard

I have the need to completly remove the service guard software and config on a two node cluster. Anything to look out for?

If you want to de-install the cluster together with all packages, you may consider a cold install, because I assume all applications were within the packages.

It's up to you, your current setup and your needs.

Don't forget to edit your '/etc/lvmrc' file for auto-activation of your volume groups.

well it depends how deep yopur config is currently
you need to:
halt the cluster
cmdeleteconf the cluster configuration
use vgchange -c n to mark each vg as non-cluster aware
swremove Serviceguard
remove the /etc/cmcluster directory
modify /etc/lvmrc to auto activate all vgs
possibly remove vg's from one or more nodes
remove mount points if no longer needed

Hi tommy,

--> Halt a cluster
--> Temporarily bring a node out of cluster service
--> Permanently remove a node from service in a cluster
--> Remove ServiceGuard from all nodes in a cluster
--> Remove ServiceGuard from a server
--> Delete a configured package or cluster
--> De-cluster package volume groups for normal activation
