rename disk device files

Hi all

I have to systems due to be SG'd.
Both have identical fibre card in same hardware path the device files do not match.
One system is fully vg'd up I want the other to see same device files

How do I change one system to reflect the other ??

I do not want to use SAM

You need to use the ioinit command and take input from a file once youve assigned the major numbers you want to each device to make them identical. Check out the man page on ioinit.
