I am having it replaced because one of it's ports is dead. Can I assign the replacement HBA with the same WWN so no re-zoning is required?

Re: Replacing HBA - Can I assign WWN to the replacement?
Thanks for the documentation.
What I am trying to do is change the WWN of the replacement card, so that it matches the faulty card.
Therefore no zoning changes need to made on the fabric switch.

SolutionI dont think this will work as every card will have its own WWN number you will not be able to change it..
You need to do zoning chage from switch end also this depends on the storage as well.
If its EVA and all , if the LUNis presented based on the FC card WWn, then u need to set that also.
