root account locks out when regular user locks out

Hello,

I am new to HPUX and would appreciate your help. Whenever, a user locks out his/her account, root's account is automatically locked out. Runing 11i in Trusted Mode.

Re: root account locks out when regular user locks out

Does root get locked out when ANY user locks out?

Or just when a specific user locks out?

All I can think of is if the user has the same UID as root. But even then it shouldn't lock out the root account.

But that's my second question for you...do root and the other user have the same UID?
The Devil is in the detail.
