2. Boot from above tape to resize your root filesystems and restore them.

- check if this is really needed!
- clean up some files
- use ignite to backup the system and increase the LVOL during restore

cleanup old lvols in
/etc/lvmconf
check if ther is a other thing filling up /etc:
sudo du -ks /etc/* |sort -n |tail -10
check if you see non / files on the root filesytem:
ff /dev/vg00/lvol3
ps depening on the the unix level and the currend size of / it is whise to extend so please post:
bdf /
and
uname -a
