Subject - CHECK TAPE DEVICES ON SERVERA
tape 5 0/1/0/0.201.15.255.0.0.0 stape CLAIMED DEVICE HP Ultrium 2-SCSI
tape 6 0/1/0/0.201.15.255.0.0.1 stape CLAIMED DEVICE HP Ultrium 2-SCSI
Any idea how to get rid of the messages?

suspect they are either from a monitor system or a program run via cron.
Check root's contrtab via crontab -l
