Hi everybody.
We are going to receive a new server. The model is:
1. HP9000 (Rp4440-8 6 CPU/1GHz, 16GB RAM).
2. SAN SWITCH (HP StorageWorks SAN switch 2/8V.
3. SAN HP EVA3000 (8x36 Gb).
Does anyone have technical documentaion or web site that contain all of these product?
Has any recommendation for that new system?
I will intergrate that new system with an exited system and configuing them running in Cluster enviroment.
Any idea?
Appreciate your help in advance !!
Hope for the quick and usful respond.

Solution
Hi,
Since all of these are HP products, I suggest you start with 'www.hp.com' and go down the tree. For ex., for RP4440, www.hp.com -> servers -> HP 9000 entry servers -> HP 9000 rp4440-8 Server
That will put you to rp4440's web page. You will find link there to "information library". Down below you will see Storageworks and server connectivity and they should take you to other stuff.
If this is going to be in a clustered environment, I suggest you plan for redundancy. For ex.,
1. Minimum four fiber channel cards like A6795As
2. Two network cards per each subnet on the server - one primary and the other standby.
3. Mirror/UX software.
4. Hearbeat switches atleast two.
5. Redundant power feeds.
etc.,Look at the serviceguard manual at docs.hp.com for more requirements.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try

Re: rp 4440 and document and information.
rp4440 documentation:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/hw/index.html#HP%209000%20rp4440%20Server
eva3000 documentation
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=3124&locale=en_US&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=315127
You should have at least two FC cards on the server and HP SecurePath for HP-UX

Zygmunt
