Re: RPM tool on HPUX
Hi
Why ? SD-UX is usefull for software managment ?
You can find informations on :
http://www.rpm.org/platforms.html
It seems to work (HPUX 10.20, don't for HPUX11)
but I don't where you can find a binary
package.... I just find an old version for
HPUX9 !!!!!

Re: RPM tool on HPUX
Hi,
Not sure what exactly are you looking for?
RPM (Redhat Package Manager) is used to build, install, query, verify, update and uninstall individual software packages. The same is done on HPUX using /usr/sbin/sw* commands.
Are you looking to create your own packages?
Or you want to install software on HP, in which case you can use swinstall (man swinstall) or look at the document
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/B2355-90154.pdf
which talks about Managing SD-UX on HP-UX.
