Re: rsync 2.6.4
I just put this on a 11.11 D class server for the first time, installed it and it worked right out of the box.
If this is an 11.00 box, try compiling the source. May wish to try that anyway.

Re: rsync 2.6.4
I am not sure what system or OS version you have installed rsync to, but I have many Itanium system HP-UX 11.11 running rsync 2.5.5 without any issues.
unless you have to have rsync 2.6.4 for a reason, you can stay with previous rsync application.

Sung

Re: rsync 2.6.4
And there's no way a 11.00 G70 can run a 64bit/EFI or 64bit/PA-RISC 2.0 binary. If You want a current rsync version, could You consider building it using Merjin's gcc binary?
