Running "timed" daemon on HP-UX 11.0
This not being standard software, Where can I find a ported version of it? or how may I compile source imported from on OpenBSD server?
Besides, I'm thinking this method will be simpler and avoid maintenance of multiple config files every time a server is added/removed or we have an IP address change... Are there known inconveniences to using "timed" instead of NTP?
Thanks.

Re: Running "timed" daemon on HP-UX 11.0
I'm not sure what you mean when you say "...avoid maintenance of multiple config files every time a server is added/removed or we have an IP address change".
'ntp' works perfectly well with DNS and the configuration files are otherwise server-based, and quite quick to setup.
Regards!

Re: Running "timed" daemon on HP-UX 11.0
Take a look at the thread below,
http://us-support2.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=9c52da4108fdd1fc35/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=200000054567881
It suggest you to use NTP.
Hope this helps.

Re: Running "timed" daemon on HP-UX 11.0
ntp is free , is native to the HP-ux, easy to configure and setup and is widely used.
So, any specific reason to look for other options?
