Rx6600 scalability forcast

Hi all,

I've been asked to put some kind of a chart together, showing our rx6600 perfomance as it is today, and the future's perfomance if we add new users.
rx6600 specs:
HP-UX11.23
running informix.
6 dual-core itanium processor.
16351MB memory
14 x 72GB hot pluggable drives

I also have to do the same for our rp4440:
HPUX11.23, informix, 6 pa8800 cpu, 16384 RAM
with a VA7410 attached to it.

I was wondering if anyone had this experice and if there is formula or tool that can help map users to cpu/ram/io.

your help is greatly appreciated.

Happy Holidays
Kathy

Re: Rx6600 scalability forcast

There is a product that is part of the VSE tool suite called 'HP Integrity Essentials Capacity Advisor'.

It lets you do some 'what if' scenarios for performace planning.

It is a licenced product ($, not free)

Thaks Scott,
but unfortunatly don't have any budget for it.
What i realy need i guess is a documentation on how much work/users can each processor and MB or memory handle before system get sluggish. best and worst case senario. I haven't found anything on hp's we site.
