The server came this way, 2 partitions, each partition has 4 cpu's. "A" has 4 cpu's and "B" has 4 cpu's.
Question.
Can the partition be changed to have 6 CPU's in "A" and 2 CPU's in "B". ?
If I can, will I have to reload the entire system, OS..etc...

Re: RX7620
You can do it if you install VPAR software.
You need to create one hardware partition with to software partitions (VPAR)
The OS must be reinstalled

SolutionBut to do that, you will first need to destroy your 2nd Npar, then add the cell board into the first Npar, an dthen create Vpars after purchasing the software.

Re: RX7620
But you can buy a licence for vpars software and create only 1 npar but different vpars, each with at least 1 cpu, some memory and core i/o (boot disk, lan etc.).
In this case you are able to assign the "unbound" cpus to one or the other vpar online, e.g. you have 2 vpars each with 2 cpus and you can add up to 4 cpus to the running vpar you like.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
