Re: SAM Error - unable to start
May I know your SAM cumulative patch ? Please update into PHCO_31314 if you dont have this patches as SAM cummulative patch on your system.
Usually the latest patch will fixed the library file for SAM.
Otherwise you need to reinstall the SAM fileset into your system.
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW

Re: SAM Error - unable to start
Recommendations:
SAM patch.
Make sure there are a few hundred meg free in /var
Make sure that /usr/obmam/lib/.... exists and is not missing.
swverify \*
# look for corrupt installations, if found swremove them and reinstall when diskspace is adequate.

Re: SAM Error - unable to start
I am pretty sure that you are facing a shared memory limit (1,75 Gb) reached.
I saw this problem at least two or three times, I mean about SAM cannot start with 'not enough space'.
The problem is which Joseph pointed. The doc talks about Oracle 32-bit. However if other 32-bit applications takes shared memory you could see that problem.
The solution is
"To resolve this issue, it is necessary to reduce the Oracle SGA. In
this case, a 1.65 Gb SGA would free up about 100 Mb of space for
shared libraries."
SAM normally uses shared library, that is the reason you are facing the message.
HTH.

Fabio
