When we try any action from SAM Interface into any printer defined previously through the own SAM or from the command prompt the following window is displayed:
Lp destination
Although, spool's commands from prompt work fine!
We've installed the PHCO_28259 patch and the trouble isn't solved yet. Any suggestion?
Rgds.

Hope it helps,

Re: SAM "Lp destination <printer> does not exist <hostname>"
Find and copy this file into the destination listed in /etc below:
-source-
/usr/vue/examples/printerNN.vf
-destination-
/etc/vue/config/types/printernn.vf.
Edit printernn.vf:
On the line:
set PRINTER_NUMBER=NN
change NN to the number of the control ( 01, 02, etc.).
On the line:
set PRINTER_NAME=name
replace name with the device name.
If necessary, edit the EXEC-STRING field. By default, it is set up to execute the command:
lp -dname filename
Save the file.
Open the System_Admin subdirectory of the General Toolbox and double-click ReloadActions.
Here is a link descibing the procedure:

Re: SAM "Lp destination <printer> does not exist <hostname>"
Elena; Regrettably your indicated link doesn't work!
Paul; This SAMS's trouble happens into text mode!

SolutionUsing Sam on printers produces "Lp destination does not exist" DocId: KBRC00009827
--This reply has been edited as Knowledge base documementation should not be posted on the forums. Reference to the document id and title is fine. (Thanks, Eric Schmidt)
