Got this message after trying to start sam on the system. Any ideas? THX Otto

SolutionTo me this looks like a memory constraint - so either:
1) You're out of memory - unlikely
2) You've run out of swap *reservation* space - more likely
3) You've hit a max?siz kernel parm limit - a little more likely
4) You've hit a shm??? kernel parm limit - most likely IMO

The HP-UX kernel has a default stack size of 8MB(?) per process. You need to extend maxssiz and recompile the kernel (and reboot). While at it, check out the maxdsiz parameter for the maximum amount of data a program can use. It depends on your applications, if the default of 64MB is enough or not.
