						Samba is configured in hp-ux 11.11,but unable to access the share using the username & passwd which is mentioned in smbpasswd file.But the share is visible in the windows Client.

There is a pair of log files for samba. By default its /var/opt/samba/samba.log or /var/opt/samba has individual log files for each ip address or machine that enters.
For log file locations consult /etc/opt/samba/smb.conf
Post the error message and then it will be possible to find a solution.
Also, what procedure was used to add the user to the smbpasswd file?
If you are using the smbpasswd file, you should be prompted to login if your shares are correct in smb.conf
