my plan is HPUX CSA.
my knowldge in hpux-intermediate. perl, shell scripting-intermediate.
oracle- twice i installed it in hpux. thats it. nothing more than that with oracle.
hpux networking area is the one i have no skills.
now, question is what u will suggest to do with that resources. i need to use that lab at the max. good ideas, good points.

Shalom sekar,

To pass the HP-UX CSA you don't need the openVMS machine or the blade servers unless they are HP-UX.

I suggest stick time on the OS and:

That will get you through the stuff you don't do on a day to day basis.

Re: sand box test... suggestions..

you won't get hit on any oracle or database questions and the shell questions will be very basic, nothing heavy, your networking skills should come up to par, for practice in you lab you should set up NFS server and clients , to fully understand it and understand the seven layers of the OSI Model. You might also want to play with NIS but hopefully HP has burned that part of the test. I would also work on configuring the LAN cards from the command line and not just through SAM,and if you dont't have the Rehman book, I sugges you buy it, its an excellent resource.
Also just as a refresher, learn how to configure the kernel from the command line and LVM, and print services.

Good luck in your studies!!
