SCOHTTP STOP

Hello All,

I need a little help outside the HP World, at least is still UNIX !
I need to stop the http services after it starts, so I inserted in the inittab file the entry to stop it. The problem is that in the log file ( /tmp/stop.log ) I see only the message that the service is not running. If I do the command line the http stop. Why is not working automatic ?

Regards,
Bassoi

Re: SCOHTTP STOP

Hi Bassoi,

I'm not a sco expert, but try adding the 1 before
>/tmp/stop.log 2>&1

htts:234:once:/opt/K/SCO/Unix/5.0.5Eb/etc/scohttp stop >/tmp/stop.log 2>&1

htts:234:once:/opt/K/SCO/Unix/5.0.5Eb/etc/scohttp stop 1>/tmp/stop.log 2>&1

Hope it helps,

Robert-Jan.

Re: SCOHTTP STOP

an alternative could be entries in /etc/rc2.d or /etc/rc3.d directories

Re: SCOHTTP STOP

This is really not something that should be started or stopped via inittab but instead should be put in one /etc/init.d script with 'S' and 'K' links to run-level 3 and 2 respectively.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
