SCSI disconnect errors

We are still getting these errors on our server;

SCSI: Unexpected Disconnect -- lbolt: 21100313, dev: cb06f002, io_id: 6000069
SCSI: Unexpected Disconnect -- lbolt: 21100314, dev: cb06f002, io_id: 6000069

Weve tried everything, replacing cables, terminators, cards, but we still get them. Can anyone givs us an insight was to exactly what this error means ?

Re: SCSI disconnect errors

Are the SCSI disconnects related to disks ? If so have you checked that the disk is OK ?

Re: SCSI disconnect errors

Hi

These are generally timeouts.

Can be HW or SW Patch level

Re: SCSI disconnect errors

These arent really too much to worry about. Theyre not fatal and wont cause whatever command was accessing the deivce to fail, just to retry. Sounds like youve changed everything already except the actual device itself. I suspect it is faulty. I'll bet its a tape device and you only get these while accessing the tape ? Ive seen this before, replace the drive, its on its way to heaven.
