SCSI/LVD in a V2500

Hi all,

Recently I've removed a SCSI C895 Ultra2 Wide LVD from a N4000-55 to put it into a V2500.

This SCSI target was working fine in the N4000 but I don't know what's happening in the V2500. I have SCSI resets continually. I've revised if it could be an installation error but it seems correct.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Re: SCSI/LVD in a V2500

Hi,

What should be checked:
- are no pins of the connectors broken or bend?
- is the device terminated (with an LVD terminator)
- is it connected to an non-LVD scsi port
- is a non-LVD device connected to the scsi chain.

One yes here means trouble.

Re: SCSI/LVD in a V2500

Well the first question htat has to be asked is whether the V2500 is the same OS, and has the same patches installed on it.
You need to have certain patches on, as there known fixes for errors like this.
Also, check the cable especially for bent pins.

Hi guys,

I've installed HWEnable11i (juny'02) and now it's working.

Thanks for your help.

Manel.
