You are going to have to provide more error details. Was there something about swjob?

Also, do you even have WBEM installed?

Re: secunia reported HP-UX patches that were not highlighted when using swainv

Hi Dennis

WEBEM is installed since I am able to view
the following
B8465BA A.02.00.05 HP WBEM Services for HP-UX when I type 'swlist|more'.

There was nothing wrong when I run the analysis phase also. But when I installed it, the error that I sent to you appeared.

For your further advice.

The details have to be somewhere. Try looking at /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log. It may say:
NOTE: More information may be found in the agent logfile using the
command "swjob -a log XXXX-NNN @ XXXX:/".

Re: secunia reported HP-UX patches that were not highlighted when using swainv

The swagent.log show the errors below

The patch fileset "PHSS_37702.WBEM-CORE,r=1.0" may only be
installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The
specification for this base fileset is
"WBEMServices.WBEM-CORE,fr=A.02.05.08,v=HP". Since there is
no fileset on the target or selected from the source which
matches this specification, fileset
"PHSS_37702.WBEM-CORE,r=1.0" will be excluded.
NOTE: The patch fileset "PHSS_37702.WBEM-CORE-COM,r=1.0" may only be
installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The
specification for this base fileset is
"WBEMServices.WBEM-CORE-COM,fr=A.02.05.08,v=HP". Since there
is no fileset on the target or selected from the source which
matches this specification, fileset
"PHSS_37702.WBEM-CORE-COM,r=1.0" will be excluded.
NOTE: The patch fileset "PHSS_37702.WBEM-MAN,r=1.0" may only be
installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The
specification for this base fileset is
"WBEMServices.WBEM-MAN,fr=A.02.05.08,v=HP". Since there is no
fileset on the target or selected from the source which
matches this specification, fileset
"PHSS_37702.WBEM-MAN,r=1.0" will be excluded.
* Executing preDSA command.
NOTE: The bundle "BUNDLE,r=B.2008.06.18" is already installed. If
you wish to reinstall this bundle, change the "reinstall"
option to "true".
NOTE: Could not install the bundle "BUNDLE,r=B.2008.06.18" because
none of its filesets could be installed.

* Summary of Analysis Phase:
* 3 of 3 filesets will be Skipped.
* The Analysis Phase succeeded.

Does this mean that HP does not have the latest patch that I need?

No, it means you need to update your WBEM version before installing the patch:

I saw the unassigned word,but how to assign points to the replies.

It doesn't seem to have any selection.

You click on the arrow next to "unassigned". This will give you a choice of 1 thru 10. You can select any value for every response to your query.

Once done, you MUST click on "submit" or "submit point" to make sure the points get applied appropriately.
