Is there any danger increasing SEMMNS from 2000 to 4000. Or any other parameters I should consider reviewing before I increase SEMMNS?

Per Oracle support, they've requested we increase it due to the following error:
ORA-27146: post/wait initialization failed


Yes. We are hitting the wall at 2000.

No problem with 4000; We have ours set to 4096.

Shouldn't be a problem .... It is set to 3072 on my server (oracle running 8.0.4) ...
