sendmail address change

Sendmail had sent messages to the firewall via the /etc/mail/sendmail.cf with
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSxxxxxx.co.frederick.md.us

xxxxxx in inside the DMZ. Can I replace the above name with an address such as DS199.248.201.253
for routing the messages.
