sendmail LocalIP file ..

I have a sendmail 8.8.6 question. How do you set up the LocalIP file to allow relay though a range of IPs?
For example if in the LocalIP file we have
192.168.10.*
will this allow everything is the 192.168.10. range?
Or does it have to be
192.168.10.
with out the * ?

A.B.C will get the block.

A.B.C.D will get a specific IP.

(Don't forget to test).
