Re: Sendmail question
I have sendmail 8.11.1, so your sendmail.cf may be different than mine, but I have my $M set to my domain name... ie:
DMmydomain.com
which tells it to masquerade as mydomain.com. The default sendmail.cf will then substitute this for the hostname when rewriting the headers. Search your sendmail.cf for ^DM or the word "masquerade" to find it. (it's on line 113 in my sendmail.cf)
Good luck

No matter where you go, there you are.

Re: Sendmail question
using sendmail -f changes the from address however it does not rewrite the header info. The only way to rewrite the header info is like they said above, to set the DM macro. You can exclude who masquerades with the CE macro, usually set to root.
