Sendmail Question

Has anyone noticed that they can't send small files (20k+) with sendmail after the last security update?

Or is it me?

Re: Sendmail Question

I haven't seen that one in the response center, and we have had some doozies.

One stopped relaying after applying the binary. When we applied the latest patch with the current binary, then put in the fix, everything was working again.

Check your MTU perhaps? Are there any messages concerning this in the mail.log?

Re: Sendmail Question

Thank you so much for the reply. I don't think it has anything to do with sendmail now. Our mailserver was having a bit of a turn and I'd just made a change so I put 2 and 2 together to make 7.

What's a doozie?

Re: Sendmail Question

From Webster's:

doozer or doozy or doozie: an extraordinary one of its kind: humdinger

And, before you ask:

From Webster's:

humdinger: a striking or extraordinary person or thing

Re: Sendmail Question

Although I am quite relieved that sendmail still seems to be doing it's thing, I'm rather concerned that the definition of the word doozie became my A1 priority job there for a while.

Thanks for bringing clarity into my otherwise murky world.
