Whenever I am trying to start the sendmail deamon in my HP-UX 11.23 itanium box, it is giving this error:
# /sbin/init.d/sendmail start
Sendmail server is disabled, You cannot start it manually using sendmail script.
Please help.

Re: Sendmail start problem
Hi:
Look at '/etc/rc.config.d/mailservs' and establish the variables to reflect what you want.
Regards!

Re: Sendmail start problem
Shalom,
To clarify there is a SENDMAIL or SENDMAIL_START variable in /etc/rc.config.d/mailservs . Set it to 1.
Then /sbin/init.d/sendmail start
This will also set the server to auto start the daemon at boot.
The above configuration file has terse but human readable documentation within.
