Hi all,
I have two HP A400 servers with running 11.00.
Now I have connected them through the serial cables. I did the setting via SAM -> Peripheral Device -> Add terminal. After I configurated the tty settings, I tried to use cat/echo commands to talk each other. It worked but sometimes the connection wasn't stable.
What do I need to check or anything I need to notice?
Alex

Re: Serail port problem
Could you clarify what you mean by "not being stable".
Also, are you attaching two unix boxes down a serial port? You can do this for things like uucp but you may have a cabling issue in this case.

Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"

Solution
Hi Alex,
What are you trying to achieve with this setup? You might be better off using something like Kermit if you want to "chat" or send files between the machines.
Please remember to assign points to those that have provided assistance to you; they've given their time for free. It also helps others determine which answers are useful ;)
regards,
Darren.

Calm down. It's only ones and zeros...
