Server Reboot Details

Hi,
Today my server rebooted automatically. When I check shutdownlog I found some codes.
Can anyone tell me more details about this.

Re: Server Reboot Details

You really need to call HP and have them analyze the crash dump that was created. They will be able to tell you precisely the reason for the crash.

Your Server got panic rebooted !!

Can please check /var/adm/crash , --> crash dump created..?

/var/tombstones/ts99 --> should have also been created, please analysis the crash dump files, than follow the Recommeded Action give by HP.

Thanks,
Johnson

More precisely, your server crashed/panicked, then it rebooted.

Re: Server Reboot Details

Hi Panks,

Though the system panic dump/log files can be fully understand by HP engineer, we could get informations upto some extend from these log files.

read the INDEX file which will be there in /var/adm/crash/ --> will give some informations

you can read /var/tombstones/ts99 file as well if it is created. if system paniced due to hardware issue, we could get the details from this file.

However to know the exact root cause and remediation you have to contact HP.
Best wishes,

Ganesh.
