Server with remote printing access cannot print

server with HP-UX 11.2 can directly print on the hp line printer with jet direct interface, but server on remote site with remote access to this printer cannot print, i have ensured that rlpdaemon is up and running on the server on which is directly connected created remote spooler on the remote server which corresponds to the prinetr name of the server and the printer name.
The server on which printer is directly configured as newtwork printer prints without any problem. But the remote server cannot print on this printer on which it is configured as remote.lpstat -t shows that print job exists and then shows the remote printer going down I manually enable it through sam but still does not help it goes down invariably while printing.
The etc/hosts file, etc/services file are all in place as specfied for this printing env.

Hi Suresh

Have you checked /etc/inetd.conf? There is a printer line within this file which allows inetd to start the rlpdaemon on inbound rlp connections. If you make any changes, don't forget to use 'inetd -c'.

Oh, just remembered - make sure that the /var/adm/inetd.sec file has no restrictions for the "printer" inetd service.

Hi,

Did you try readding the printer? Could you just check /var/spool/lp/request/* if there any requests starting with letter t?
what is the output of
hpnpadmin -o "printername"
