Service Guard "cmquerycl" fails with No domain found error

Hi all,

I am getting following error while setting up the cluster. I was able to setup other five two nodes cluster, using the same steps, patch & SW version. I am getting this error only with this set of cluster system.

# cmquerycl -v -w local -n crmprda1 -n crmprda2 -C /etc/cmcluster/crmprdaclx.>

Re: Service Guard "cmquerycl" fails with No domain found error

Hi:

Verify the configuration in /etc/cmcluster/crmprdaclx.ascii file.

Warning: Unable to determine local domain name for crmprda1

Please check /etc/hosts file entry for FQDN entry
and
DNS entry with forward and reverse lookup

Also cross verify /etc/cmcluster/crmprdaclx.ascii

Re: Service Guard "cmquerycl" fails with No domain found error

A "Warning" is not a show-stopper, but if you wish to eliminate the message
"Warning: Unable to determine local domain name for crmprda1"
put the FQDN to the left of the simple hostname in /etc/hosts:
From:
192.168.2.140 crmprda2 crmprda2.fewa.ae
192.168.2.139 crmprda1 crmprda1.fewa.ae

To:
192.168.2.140 crmprda2.fewa.ae crmprda2
192.168.2.139 crmprda1.fewa.ae crmprda1

Re: Service Guard "cmquerycl" fails with No domain found error

>Warning: Unable to determine local domain name for crmprda1

This is NOT an issue, it is just a Warning.
Your main problem is here:
The volume group /dev/vg00 is activated on more than one node:
crmprda1
crmprda2

This is probably due to the use of something like dd or mirroring to create the second node's boot disk, and has resulted in the vg00 of both servers having the SAM VGID!
That is NOT allowed
