Hello,
I plan to install oracle RAC 9iR2 with serviceguard and SGE for RAC.
I need some clarification for this issue be fore starting installation procedure.
This is my first experience with SG and SGE RAC.
1.Which component is responsible for failover?
In the time of failure what will happen to the failed instance? Does it run on other server?how?
2.Does the system use VIP for instances or use the NIC’s ip addresses?
3.How can I determine which NIC is dedicated for cluster interconnection? (as I know Oracle need a dedicated NIC for synchronizing the caches)
Please advice.
Hasan
