ServiceGuard and Ignite

in a serviceguard cluster with two nodes and 5 packages, 2 pkg are running on node 1 and the rest on node 2.

using make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/0mn -I -x inc_entire=vg00

The recovery tape is completed but there are several messages like:
* /usr/sbin/vgcfgbackup /dev/svgy07db
vgcfgbackup: Warning: couldn't query physical volume "/dev/dsk/c14t1d1":
The specified path does not correspond to physical volume attached to
this volume group

It says the map files are created anyway, and they look good.

Problem is that the errors are raising flags...

Is there a way to get rid of these messages or to tell make_tape_recovery not to query the PV that belong to a package that is not running?

And have any of you seen problems with ignite and ServiceGuard?

Thanks
Sebastien

Re: ServiceGuard and Ignite

Ignite is having trouble with a disk c14t1d1

It may have nothing to do with SG. But if its configured in /etc/lvmtab (viewd by strings /etc/lvmtab) Ignite will fail when it tries to make an image.

If this is part of a shared vg that failes from node to node then the sg config needs to be fixed.

This post is in Linux not hpux. There is no Ignite for Linux so I will ask hp to move your post.
