ServiceGuard and Oracle Data Guard
I have a server that is running Oracle with Data Guard. I am are also using HP Service Guard scripts for several of other applications on the server. I like to know if there are any real benefits for combining Oracle Data Guard with HP Service Guard? If yes where can I obtain such information.
Thx in advance.

Re: ServiceGuard and Oracle Data Guard
What do you want to acheive? Serviceguard is a local HA product (which can be extended), and Dataguard is a remote replication product. What you can and can't do depends largely on what you are attempting. There are certainly no "out of the box" scripts for using Dataguard with Serviceguard.
Have a look at my posts in the following threads - might give you an inking of what to expect...

Re: ServiceGuard and Oracle Data Guard
Here's a whitepaper to peruse. Although it does not specifically mention Oracle dataguard I assume its part of oracle clusterware services? So hopefully this will be of some help.

You assume wrong - Dataguard is seperate from RAC and Clsuterware (although it does work with these products if required).
Further info on Dataguard available here:
