Do the customers need to procure HP Serviceguard license separately if they already have HP UX 11.31 Environment?

its depend o the OE, check this page :

if your OE includes the serviceguard you don;t need to pay aditional licenses.

What OS release you have for HP-UX 11.31? If its HP-UX HA-OE or DC-OE then you dont need it.

Yes, For BOE you need to purchase the Serviceguard License.

- You can check what type of OE you have :
# swlist -l bundle | grep HPUX11

- If you are having MCOE or DCOE , you are good. MC/SG is available default with the bundle.
