serviceguard MetroCluster and DS8000 PPRC
Hi all,
How I setup serviceguard metrocluster on HP-UX11i by integration with PPRC of DS8000?
I have found IBM DS8000 that supports MCServiceguard in IBM's document.
But I see a HP document show the MCServiceguard can support only XP, EVA and EMC.
Thanks.

Re: serviceguard MetroCluster and DS8000 PPRC
Panuwat,
You have to script it yourself. As you noted HP's Metrocluster product doesn't support IBM disk arrays.
Serviceguard itself will run on IBM disk arrays, just don't expect help from HP with any disk related issues with Serviceguard (I beleive the converse is true with HACMP and HP disk arrays). But any of the replication integration into packages you would have to develop yourself.
No doubt IBM have done this sort of thing for other customers, I'd approach them for asistance with this (although knowing IBM they'll probably try to sell you AIX systems).

Re: serviceguard MetroCluster and DS8000 PPRC
Oh, and see the 'interoperability matrix' for IBM disk arays and HP-UX here:
http://www.hp.com/products1/serverconnectivity/mass_storage_devices.html#IBM_ds
Note that this infers 'interoperability' with the storage products, not 'HP support for'
