Serviceguard upgrade 11.14 to 11.16

Hi,

Hope somebody can help. We have a two node service-guard cluster and need to upgrade it to 11.16. They are both running 11.11.

I need to understand the process. Do we upgrade or re-install? Will my configuration files remail. Do I need an outage?

This will require a short downtime.

Best practices:

1) back up all configuration and package scripts
2) swremove the old version.
3) swisntall the new version
4) Make required modifications to inetd.conf
5) Shut down the cluster
6) Start up the newly configured 11.16 cluster.
7) Work out the bugs


8) Repeat steps 1-6 on the second or subsequent nodes.

Can you swinstall over the top? Yes. Is it the best way to go? No I don't think so.
