Re: Set account ID to expire in non-trusted system

Hi,

There is a way you can do on HP-UX by specifying
codes in the /etc/passwd file. I am not sure
exactly what character is used for say one week
but you can place a ',..' immediately after the password string so the the exisiting password expires on the next login attempt. You can also do this type of operation in 'SAM' by modifying a user by changing
their password options. Select the user to be modified,
then select Modify Password Options, change the password
options to 'enable password aging' and select your
options. Once you see ho SAM has modified you can do
this manually by using the 'vipw' program to ensure
that the password file is locked.
