Setting Default Term for ssh sessions
Hi All
I'm running a HP-UX 11.0 server and openssh on it. My users are connecting to the server using the emulator Extra! from attachmate. Originally they were using telnet and now they are migrated to SSH.
Whenever a user's password expires and the user logs in now, /etc/profile's default term doesnt get set and the user is directly taken to password change scene and the display is off. Every thing is shown in one line.
Is there any configuration on either ssh_config or sshd_config to set a default term or to specify that etc/profile needs to be executed first
Regards
Nell

Re: Setting Default Term for ssh sessions
The emulator has terminal setting but that doesnt prevent this problem from happening and I have set the default term to vt220 on my etc/profile.

Re: Setting Default Term for ssh sessions
How about putting this in /etc/profile
export TERM=$(ttytype -a)
Anil
export TERM=$(ttytype -a)
Anil
