Setting up my 1.44 for use..

I'm trying to set up my floppy drive for use on my HP 712. Could someone please assist me in this? I ran an IOSCAN -fn and it shows up. I just need to be able to access the drive. Thank you.

If you need to initialize the floppy you'll have to use the mediainit command.
If you want to put a filesystem on a floppy, usually you might use the diskinfo command with the character device file to identify the model number of the floppy drive; then you could use the model number as input to the newfs command. (Floppies do not support LVM)
