Re: Setting up predictive support
Once installed, run /opt/pred/bin/psconfig - this will run the config menu system, so have you serial number, contract details etc ready. One of the items required is the Repair Office Code, which you can get from your old server, or from your HP customer representative.
You will be asked to schedule the run time for regular transfers to/from HP.
On completion of the config, it should attempt communicate with HP to obtain a key word, and to transmit your initial hardware information (transfer is via modem or email, depending on how you configured it).
When it's fully installed, you can run psconfig again to access the predict menus, where you can view the reports etc. You can also select the options directly from the command line
eg:
psconfig run
will request a normal run of the software.

SolutionPredictive has been replaced (no more modem) by ISEE which runs as a daemon (called 'mad') on your HP and it makes a realtime HTTP connection to HP (so you need to open network access).
Its downloadable at www.software.hp.com

Re: Setting up predictive support
Stefan,
Do you know if the HTTP can use a proxy to make the connection to HP?
