Re: setup virtualisation
11.31 is not supported yet - be patient.
With 11.23 you should use the manual from the link above.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

SolutionRight now you need to use the HP-UX 11.23 as 11.31 doesnot support virtualisation.
Then Follow the following steps:
1. Create a virtual switch using
#hpvmnet -c -S vswa -n 0
2.Create a Virtual machine
# hpvmcreate -P VM1 -r 10G -c 2
Then follow the document
http://docs.hp.com/en/T2767-90105/T2767-90105.pdf

Re: setup virtualisation
i see in the this software is required :
The Integrity VM release media kit contains the following software:
â ¢ T2767AC (the Integrity VM software bundle)
â ¢ VMProvider (allows you to use the HP Integrity VM Manager to manage the VM Host)
â ¢ HP-UX 11i V2 (the HP-UX 11.23 foundation operating environment [FOE] that is provided
for the VM Host system)
â ¢ PRM-Sw Krn (installed as part of the HP-UX FOE and required by Integrity VM)
â ¢ VMGuestLib (installed as part of the HP-UX FOE and required by Integrity VM)
â ¢ B8465BA (HP WBEM Services for HP-UX, installed as part of the FOE and required by
Integrity VM)

or it's on OS DVD ?
thanks for advices,

Re: setup virtualisation
Correct! You have the following:
localnet 1 Up
vswitch 2 Up
clan1 3 Down
>> Warning 1 on item /dev/rdsk/c3t2d0: '/dev/rdsk/c3t2d0' backing device does not exist.
Warning 2 on item /dev/rdsk/c0t1d0: '/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0' backing device does not exist.
Correct!
Your "real" DVD drive is
disk 2 0/0/2/1.0.16.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE TEAC DV-28E-V
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Of course the guest cannot find any disk - there is nothing!

Where do you want to put the guest vdisk???
Hope this helps!
