SFTP limitations

Does SFTP have any limitation in terms of tranfer spped, file size, etc? Is there any documentation about this limitation?

Not that I know. SFTP will be slower than FTP, due to encryption, and file size is only limited by source and destination filesystems.

Really not.

SFTP will go more slowly because it has a secure, encrypted data stream.

But file size is limitations and such is normally a function of the file systems OS and what parameters were used to build the filesystem.

One interesting thing happened to me. I used SFTP to post a 5.7 GB file to an apache httpd server. The file would not show up, because it was a 32 bit OS and apache will only service files up to 2 GB on a 32 bit OS.
