Shadow Password doesn't work well with Password Option in SAM

Hello,
We installed ShadowPassword B.11.11.03. When we try to add new user and select the "Password Option" in sam. Only the "No restriction" will be meaningful! And other Option such as "Force Password Change At Next Log On" doesn't work. When we select "Force Change" the user will be prompted to change his password but he will never be able to provide his Old password except to get "Sorry"! similar situation if use password Aging, we found the related info doesn't appear in /etc/shadow. Any one can help me?
