Hi Andy,

1. /sbin/shutdown is the same.
2. output from "what /sbin ..."
/sbin/shutdown:
$Revision: 76.3.1.1 $
PATCH/10_10 PHCO_16722 $Revision: 76.162.1.14.1.76 $
PATCH_10_10: shutdown.o localDisk.o 00/04/23
/usr/sbin/shutdown:
$Revision: 76.3.1.1 $
PATCH/10_10 PHCO_16722 $Revision: 76.162.1.14.1.76 $
PATCH_10_10: shutdown.o localDisk.o 00/04/23

Re: Shutdown - bus error

Hmmm, well the 'what' output matches the patch text. Which says it's for 10.10/10.20. You could try the old version of the command which should be located somewhere under /var/adm/sw/patches/PHCO_21574

If it's not search under /var/adm/sw/patches

The 'strange' thing is that the base patch has a higher revision than the current one. Maybe the patch is actually just for 10.10.

I'm attaching a 'base' shutdown from 10.20 just in case you can't find yours. It's the /sbin/shutdown command (so no libraries required)

Re: Shutdown - bus error

Radim,

SWREMOVE THE PATCH, AND RETRY THE SHUTDOWN COMMAND AGAIN.
