shutdown problem - imm help needed

I am having a problem in shutting down my openview services. So now the shutdown -r now is hung at this situation. But still the server is up. What should i do right. Can i do a physical hardware restart.

Try to logon on the server via console and kill this OpenView processes.

During startup you can interrupt the init process by hitting the break keys. You might be able to do the same thing during shutdown. Try it, then kill the processes.

First try doing a control-| to skip that shutdown step.
If that fails, try a using a control-C then "reboot -r".

I pressed CTRL + C, and it all went fine.
