Hi, how do must i switch off a HP-9000 server?
i mean: do must be shutdown -hy ?

Yes, do:

# shutdown -hy

Then wait, for an indication that it is safe to power off your server and do so.

To shut down HP-UX for power-off, you can do any of the following:

# init 0
# shutdown -h -y now

shutdown -h 0
To bind it is enough to press the button or case schemes it has GSP is enough to connect in the console to type ctrl + B PC on

1. You have to be "root" to run "shutdown" command. If you want to shutdown a server with your own user account. You have to edit /etc/shutdown.allow with one line: "your_server_name your_user_name" then

cd /
/sbin/shudtown -hy 0"

We sure to do this as root. or vi the shutdown.allow file.

Shutdown -h 0
