simply printing to IP printer in HP 11.11

How do you set up printing to print to a jetdirect printer.

Say IP address 192.168.1.111

Thats it thats all.
spools, supervisors, logical, physically.

Well, after you install hppi...

addqueue -i 9998 -q MYPRINTER -h 192.168.1.111

lp -d MYPRINTER somefile

If your JetDirect LAN card or adapter is connected to an HP printer, you can leave off the -i 9998 option (which forces a generic printer model). addqueue will identify the printer automatically and pick the correct printer script.

How do you turn off header page?

You can use either '-o nobanner' when you issue the lp command, or you can go into hppi, modify the printer and turn off the banner page there.

If you do when you initially set up the printer, it is in the "Other Options..." section.
