snmp and service-guard

Hi all,

I have been asked to disable snmp for security purposes on our machines. I am unsure however if shutting down SnmpMaster will have any impact on Service-guard? I see the process cmsnmpd is running on the system is this completely independant?

Hi Adam,

Are you using EMS to monitor MCSG resources, in that case it will impact. EMS depends on snmpd. Check your MCSG PKG config files to if any RESOURCE_NAME defined ...
